Connecting hearts one family and friend at a time.
Connecting hearts one family and friend at a time.
"Hearts Connecting is truly a service that allows hearts to connect and facilitate comfort during the tremendous loss of a loved one. My family
and I are extremely thankful to have benefitted. Our family and friends were able to be together virtually and share with one another memories
of my father. It gave us so much of what we didn't even know we needed.
Thank you!!!"

"I want to share with you how wonderful the service from sister Tahirah really is! Simply put she got us through. She stood by us through the
tears and fears. Tahirah made decisions when we couldn't in regards to
the funeral service after our child returned to Allah. Tahirah will forever
be family!"

"February 7, 2021 my family had to experience a life-changing moment: the passing of our mother. Being Muslim—in our culture of Al Islam—we had 72 hours to prepare for her Janazah (Islamic Funeral). Hearts Connecting by Tahirah Taalib-Din not only accepted the challenge, she captured the true essence of who my mother was to over 300+ people on Zoom. My mother—who was not only the mother of me and my brothers but also to an array of people from different corners of our community—was highlighted beautifully by Sister Tahirah’s work. My family received so much praise on the Zoom service where people who couldn’t make it felt they were right there and participating in showing their love and [sharing] experiences they had of my mother. I will not say much more other than THANK YOU!"

"I would like to express my sincerest thanks to sister Tahirah who was available at my darkest moments when I couldn’t see or think straight.
Her words of comfort at my most vulnerable moment were so soothing
and comforting. Words can’t begin to explain the thanks from myself
and my daughters for what she did for us.
I am forever grateful to her for her consistent actions. Just to think someone had my best interest at heart and to be sure I was okay in my grieving was this sister.
Allah has blessed this sister with the magnitude of reaching out to me
in my time of need. She was my angel and I didn’t even recognize her impact at the time. I can go on and on, and it still wouldn’t suffice that
it was just what we needed. In closing, know this sister will have your
best interest at heart, she will address all heartfelt sentiments, and make them known to others as you experience the loss of your loved one."

"Tahirah did an exceptional job during the Janazah of my dear friend Shelley. She managed almost 300 people on the zoom, answering questions and connecting with them so that even those that were not of the Muslim faith, like myself, felt comfortable during the Janazah.
It was especially helpful when she explained what was happening during the service as it happened and filled in the gaps of time in the service to connect with mourners online so they could share their memories of Shelley. Because she enabled us all to see Shelley one last time and because of the way she connected with the mourners online and met our needs as well as the families involved, the Janazah was an authentic experience and not a virtual one."

“ I would just like to give the utmost acknowledgment for the great service that Hearts Connecting did for the Homegoing Service for my God Daughter's Mom. It was so heartfelt... The compassion that was expressed was just phenomenal. I would suggest to anyone that is in need of having an event and needing it to be available on zoom to contact Hearts Connecting. ”

“Recently we had two beloved people in our community return to Allah: Imam Al-Hajj Farooq Abdul Wali Rh and Sis Shelley Shabazz Rh. The families and community experienced enormous grief, and I was in a big dilemma. How was I going to perform these two funerals—under COVID-19 restrictions—from the masjid to the cemetery?
Many family members and close friends also wanted to be a part of the final send-off of these two beloved individuals. Some were far away from New York and couldn’t make it here in time, so we needed a way to help ease the grieving hearts of so many. Then, out of nowhere, came ‘Hearts Connecting’—a virtual funeral service company founded by sister Tahirah Taalib-Din.
She made it possible for everyone to take part in the final send-offs of these two beloved servants of Allah. It was an amazing solution that allowed us to follow the funeral services, give comments, and open up about what the deceased truly meant to us family and friends. Allahu Akbar.
Hearts Connecting made it much easier on us all. Subhaanallahi wa lillahil hamd. I am very grateful to Hearts Connecting. May Allah continue to bless this much-needed service, ameeeeen.”
